Good Afternoon, America

It is still a possibility that I can get wireless internet at my home, but it will be a couple weeks before the company can get out to my place and do a site survey. Even then I may end up having to dig a trench across the yard in order to get the cable underground from where the radio will be mounted.

My latest interest are electric plug-in vehicles. I learned about these recently after watching Who Killed The Electric Car? which in many ways is more disturbing that An Inconvenient Truth. Electric cars are available from many small manufacturers now, but most cost an excess of $80k. Today I wrote a letter to the Ford Motor Company urging them to invest more R&D into this concept. It would take an effort my a major automaker to produce these vehicles in a large quantity and make them affordable for the average consumer. Learn more at www.pluginamerica.com

The abandoned blog

Blogging is such hard work apparently that I haven't bothered to update this thing in ages.

News: I spent a bunch of money on Adobe Creative Suite Premium 2.3. The goal is to learn PS, Illustrator, and Dreamwaver cold and eventually use those skills for other endeavors. Flash will follow. A good first project would be to make a custom skin for this blog and integrate it seemlessly with my website. That would involve a little bit of PHP programming and a lot of formatting. It's good practice. The bummer being that I have to open my website to the Blogger server. In the past I've found that hackers have made trouble with my little old site just because they can when I install little add ons like message boards and blogs.

That's all. If anyone is reading this, I am still alive.
